The Literacy Coalition offers FREE programs to help adults and families improve their skills and achieve their goals. Whether you're looking to earn your GED, learn English, prepare for a career, or give your child a head start, we have a program for you.

1. FREE GED Classes:

  • Prepare for and earn your GED completely FREE.
  • In-person and online classes available.

2. FREE Family Education Program:

  • Free classes for you and your child (18 months - 4 years old).
  • English classes for parents.
  • Parenting and school readiness preparation.
  • Social services available.
  • Free Chromebook!
  • Class Locations and Times:
    • Pioneer Crossing Elementary: Tuesdays/Thursdays, 9:30am-11am
    • Wildhorse Elementary: Wednesdays/Fridays, 9:30am-11am

3. FREE Career Readiness Workshops:

  • Three-part workshop series covering resume writing, interview skills, digital literacy, and workplace professionalism.
  • FREE Chromebook upon completion of all three workshops (while supplies last).
  • Eligibility Requirements:
    • Resident, employed, or have a child attending school in Austin or Travis County.
    • 18 years or older.
    • Income requirement (less than 200% of FPIL).
  • Workshop Dates & Time: November 5th-7th, 10am-2pm (attendance required for all 3 days)
