Reporting fraud

The Housing Authority of Travis County is committed to the highest ethical standards in all of our operations. We take fraud very seriously and encourage our residents, partners, vendors, and employees to report any suspected fraudulent activity.

If you suspect fraud in any of our programs or operations, please use the electronic form provided below to report the incident. All reports will be kept confidential to the extent permitted by law, and we will investigate all reported incidents promptly and thoroughly.

Please provide as much detail as possible about the suspected fraud, including the date, time, location, and individuals involved. You do not need to provide your name or contact information, but doing so may help us to investigate the incident more effectively.

Submit a fraud report

Please note that HATC’s jurisdiction is limited to the properties we manage and the tenants participating in our programs. We are also unable to investigate fraud unless it is directly related to the services we provide. If your concern falls outside our scope, the Housing Authority of the City of Austin (hacanet.org) also serves the Travis County area. For further help, we recommend contacting your local police department or reaching out to Texas RioGrande Legal Aid (trla.org) for free legal assistance.
  • We would be happy to follow up with you if you share your contact information. However, if you prefer not to provide it, please understand that we won't be able to update you on whether we can take action or how the issue is resolved.
  • Format: (000) 000-0000.
  • We appreciate your assistance in maintaining the integrity of our programs and operations. Thank you for your cooperation and commitment to ethical behavior.
