Giving Thanks to the Heart of Our Community

Dear Neighbors, Community Partners, and Friends,

As we enter November, a season naturally focused on gratitude, our Housing Authority is proud to officially designate this month as our Month of Thanks for Giving.

This is a time for us to pause, look around, and express our deepest appreciation for the incredible individuals, families, and partners who make our community a vibrant and supportive place to live.

First and foremost, we want to thank our residents. Every day, you inspire us with your resilience, your neighborly kindness, and your commitment to building a welcoming environment for everyone. You are the heart of everything we do.

We also want to shine a bright light on our community partners, local businesses, and volunteers. Your generous giving - whether through your time, resources, supportive services, or educational programs - creates a safety net and a springboard for our families. Your collaboration transforms housing into true homes and neighborhoods.

Finally, a profound thank you to our dedicated staff. Your hard work behind the scenes ensures that we provide safe, stable, and affordable housing options year-round.

Throughout November, we will be using our social media channels to highlight specific stories of impact, celebrate our partners, and share ways we can all give back to one another. We encourage you to use the comments below to share what or who you are thankful for this month.

Thank you for your continued partnership, your generosity, and your commitment to lifting each other up.

‍

With deep gratitude,

Patrick B. Howard
Executive Director / CEO, Housing Authority of Travis County
