HATC Announces Opening of the Mainstream Vouchers Waiting List on January 22, 2020 from 8:00AM – 5:00PM

The Housing Authority of Travis County (HATC) announces a limited waitlist opening for Mainstream Housing Choice Vouchers. No other waitlists will be open at this time. Pre-applications will only be accepted online from 8:00AM - 5:00PM on Wednesday, January 22, 2020.

This opening is ONLY for individuals and families who have a family member who:

  • Is non-elderly (between ages 18 and 61), AND
  • Has a verifiable disability, AND
  • Are transitioning out of institutional or other segregated settings, currently experiencing homelessness, previously experienced homelessness and currently a client in a permanent supportive housing or rapid rehousing project, or those at risk of experiencing homelessness.

Applications are not available at the Housing Authority of Travis County. If you meet the criteria, apply anywhere you have internet access by submitting a pre-application at www.waitlistcheck.com/TX1128.

Appointments need to be made at least two business days prior to the opening of the waiting list.

Verification of your age, disability, and homelessness or residence in an eligible institution or other segregated setting will be requested by HATC upon receipt of your pre-application. The pre-application will not be considered a complete application until all verification documents are received by HATC.

Eligible applicants experiencing homelessness may also be added to the waitlist through a coordinated referral by the following partner agencies: Ending Community Homelessness Coalition (ECHO) and Integral Care.
