Created in 1975 by a resolution of the Travis County Commissioner’s Court, HATC provides safe, decent, and sanitary housing for low-income families in Travis County. Our mission is to offer affordable housing and support services to foster stability and self-sufficiency among our residents.
The HATC Board of Commissioners is the governing body that determines policies and resolutions of HATC. Board members play a critical role in approving decisions that shape the direction of current and future programs and authorizing the actions of the Executive Director and staff.
Board members are appointed by the Travis County Commissioners Court and serve two-year terms. Current board member terms and their expertise can be viewed on our Board of Commissioners page.
