Memorial Day Closure
The Housing Authority of Travis County (HATC) will be closed on Monday, May 25, 2026, in observance of Memorial Day. Normal operations will resume on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, at 8:00 AM. This closure allows HATC staff to participate in initiatives honoring the brave men and women who sacrificed their lives for the U.S. Armed Forces. Memorial Day serves to pay tribute to fallen soldiers, support military families in public housing, and enhance community patriotism and trust. Unlike Veterans Day, which honors living veterans, Memorial Day specifically memorializes those who have made the ultimate sacrifice.
