The Housing Authority of Travis County was awarded 5 Stability Housing Vouchers (SV) to assist people experiencing homelessness or at risk for homelessness to secure permanent housing in connection with supportive services.

‍

Eligible Populations

Stability Vouchers may assist households who are:

  • Homeless, as defined by the McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act (see here for more info)
  • At risk of homelessness
  • Fleeing or attempting to flee domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, stalking, or human trafficking
  • Veterans and families including a veteran member meeting the above criteria

‍

Direct Referral Process

HATC must enter a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the local Continuum of Care (CoC) to partner Stability Vouchers with CoC supportive services.

HATC will only accept direct referrals from the local CoC, ECHO of Austin, for voucher eligibility determination.

Referrals will be through the Coordinated Entry Assessment System: austinecho.org/get-help/experiencing-homelessness

‍

Voucher Implementation

HATC's Stability Voucher Program begins November 1, 2023 and will accept referrals at that time.
